ABS Releases Web Based Mobility Management Services Software Product
The PtMS Mobility Management Services is a web based software system designed to assist mobility managers and transportation brokers with connecting transportation consumers with the transportation provider that best meets their needs. The software uses a SQL Server database to track transportation service providers, service destinations and origins.
Providers can be further classified as to the geographic territory they cover, the services they offer (e.g., wheel chair transports), the days of the week and times they are open, and the types of reimbursement they accept (e.g Medicaid, Medicare, cash, credit card). These provider characteristics are then used in a special web site search engine to help users select the providers that meets the consumers service request needs.
Each search is stored in a transaction table so site managers can examine what types of provider service requests are being made by the software users. User search results can be emailed to the user.
Possible applications of this software system include helping consumers locate provider transportation services that go beyond the service area boundaries of a county transportation program, transit authority, or broker. or offer a specialized form of transportation not normally provided.
