PtMS Mobile Mapping with Google Earth

PtMS Mobile now supports mapping vehicle GPS output using Google Earth – Google’s interactive geographic mapping system that uses satellite imagery along with real time updates of multiple map layers including traffic patterns and weather. GPS data tracking PtMS vehicle locations can be displayed on Google earth with updates to vehicle position displaying as often (for example, seconds) as the GPS data of the vehicle locations is refreshed.

Users can view vehicle locations in conjunction with traffic pattern conditions.

Selecting a vehicle from the PtMS Mobile vehicle list on the left allows the user to isolate a vehicle’s location.

You can then zoom down to display the vehicle’s current location allowing you to go all the way down to the street view.
